CPL filters, also known as circular polarizers, are primarily used to eliminate unwanted reflections on non-metallic surfaces and to enhance color saturation. They also intensify the blue of the sky, highlight white clouds, improve image clarity, and create a more expressive and vibrant overall image. Additionally, they are often used for shooting through glass or water.

Neutral density filters, also called gray or ND filters, extend exposure time and reduce the amount of light in very bright conditions, preventing overexposure. Furthermore, the filter enhances the color saturation of the image, making it more transparent and vibrant. Special effects, such as water mist or light trails at night, can also be achieved with the filter. The ND8 filter is used on partly cloudy to slightly sunny days and reduces the shutter speed by 3 stops. The ND16 filter is used in very bright environments, such as in the desert or on snow, and reduces the shutter speed by 4 stops.
