Machined from solid aluminum, this backplate can be mounted in addition to the PHANTEKS Glacier water coolers for GeForce RTX 2080 Ti Founders Edition and reference design graphics cards. It significantly improves power distribution in the area of the voltage regulators. The backplate is black anodized and is mounted on the back of the graphics card.

In addition to enhancing the aesthetics, the backplate provides greater stability for the graphics card with a water cooler. This effectively prevents the PCB from bending due to uneven tightening of the screws when securing the main cooler, thus avoiding prolonged exposure to stress.
