Well, whether that's "boring" or not, I don't know, but it doesn't do you any good to buy a Threadripper when a Ryzen 9 or so would be better suited to your situation.
nope they are/were meant for content creator performance is somewhat equivalent to a ryzen 7 1700X. the cpu is a bit outdated and you would also need an x399 mainboard for it. i think you are better served with a current ryzen cpu, and a cheap am4 mainboard.
kannst du genauere specs deines mainboards nennen? wenn es dass hier ist ASUS Maximus VIII Hero (LGA 1151, Intel Z170, ATX) passt der threadripper nicht.
