Unfortunately, it really doesn't fit on all LGA1700s. When I mounted it on my ASUS Z690-A, there was at least 1.5 cm of space missing.

I have successfully installed it in the ASUS Prime Z690-P, the alignment must be correct.

It should work. I have it on my 1700 as well
