Yes, I have already tried it myself. It's more a question of software than hardware anyway. I assume CD-Text means that appropriate CD players can display titles etc., not LightScribe (burning with pattern on the blank).

If so, one option would be to use an adapter like this Aplic USB 3.0 to SATA III converter Alternatively, you could use the drive permanently externally with an enclosure like this (I did it myself with my drive) Icy Box ICY BOX External Enclosure for 1x 5.25" SATA drive, IB-525-U3 (5.25") There are of course cheaper options for both variants.

They are actually exactly the same. One is simply the retail version and the other is the bulk version.

The part also runs perfectly under Windows 10 (at least as a player, I haven't tested it as a burner yet). Install it, connect it and everything works.
