According to our information, you do not need any software or drivers. The product is UVC Plug and Play.
If the picture is almost black and white:
-Check the video settings in the app and reset the filters (black and white, saturation, exposure).
-Try the Windows camera app or macOS Photo Booth. You can check exposure and colour there.
-Provide more light in the room. If there is little light, the image will quickly become dark and colourless.
-Plug the product into another USB port (directly on the PC, without a hub).
If the problem still persists, please contact us directly via our DH Assistant so that a solution can be found.

No, the webcam cannot reliably read QR codes. User reports show that it usually does not work unless the code is large enough. The camera is primarily designed for video chats and does not have a dedicated scanner mode.
The Aukey PC-LM1E webcam can be used for VTubing, but there are some aspects you should consider:
## Resolution and image quality
- The webcam offers a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels at 30 frames per second, which is sufficient for many applications. However, for high-quality VTubing content, which often requires very high image quality, the resolution and image sharpness could be somewhat limiting.
## Lighting and background
- Some users have reported that the webcam overcompensates for bright backgrounds, which can result in a dark representation of the person. You may need to manually adjust the brightness to achieve good image quality.
## Microphone and sound quality
- The integrated stereo microphones with noise cancellation are sufficient for normal video conferencing and conversations, but for professional recordings the sound quality may not meet the highest standards.
## Compatibility and setup
- The webcam is plug-and-play and compatible with various operating systems, including Windows, Mac OS and Android. This makes it easy to use for VTubing as no additional software or drivers are required.
Overall, the Aukey PC-LM1E is a solid choice for general video conferencing and simple recording, but for professional VTubing with high image and sound quality requirements, it might not be sufficient. It might make sense to consider a higher-end webcam if you want to achieve better quality.
I cannot confirm this. Have you upgraded to W11? I would uninstall the drivers via the device manager, restart the system and then connect the cam again. Ideally, the problem will then be solved.
Yes, you can switch off the microphone, but not directly on the camera. You can switch it off in the audio settings in Windows 10 or 11, for example, where you can individually switch off hardware such as a microphone.
The question must be formulated the other way round. Linux supports the hardware if it has the corresponding drivers. That depends on the Linux distribution and its release; you may have to install the driver later. Basically, it should not be a problem.
MPX means mega pixel, but is usually given as MP. This is the resolution of the camera, more is of course better and usually provides a sharper image. A good web camera should offer 1 MP or more. For zoom or team video calls it is okay.
The camera is only "adjustable" in the sense of the foot/mount:
Aukey does not supply any additional software with the camera that could be used to change the image. You can only get this with webcams in a few price categories higher.
But if you absolutely need software, you have to resort to third-party providers, e.g. ManyCams or Youcam. OBS would be a free alternative, but it's not exactly plug and play like the other two.
