The be quiet Pure Rock 2 (155 mm) is generally compatible with your AMD Ryzen 7 5800X, as it supports the AM4 socket. However, it may not be sufficient for very demanding workloads, as the processor has a TDP of 125W and the cooler is designed for up to 150W. It may be necessary to adjust the fan speed to achieve optimum performance and noise levels. For the thermal paste, you can use an inexpensive option such as the Arctic MX-4 or the Noctua NT-H1. These are known for their good performance and are attractively priced.

The be quiet Pure Rock 2 (155 mm) has a cooling capacity of 150 watts, which is sufficient for the Ryzen 5 7600X. For the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, however, it could become scarce as it has a higher power consumption. An upgrade to the Dark Rock 5 could be useful to ensure better cooling performance, especially if you plan to overclock the processor. The Dark Rock 5 offers higher cooling performance and might be better suited for power-hungry processors.

The be quiet Pure Rock 2 FX (155 mm) is a powerful CPU cooler, but for a high-performance processor such as the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X with 8 cores and a clock frequency of 4.7 GHz, it may not be sufficient under certain conditions. Here are some important points to consider: - TDP classification: the Pure Rock 2 FX is rated for a TDP of up to 150W, which is basically sufficient for the Ryzen 7 5800X, which has a TDP of 125W. However, the actual power consumption of the processor may be higher under load. - Performance and volume: The cooler has four 6 mm heatpipes and a quiet but powerful fan. However, it can become audible at high speeds and under high load. It is important to adjust the PWM settings in the BIOS to achieve the best balance between performance and volume. - Compatibility: The cooler is compatible with the AMD AM4 socket on which the Ryzen 7 5800X runs. Summarised: The be quiet Pure Rock 2 FX can cool the Ryzen 7 5800X, but it may be necessary to adjust the fan speed and PWM settings to achieve optimal performance and noise levels. For very demanding workloads or checking maximum performance, a cooler with more thermal headroom may be required.

Hi, no. The backplate is usually included with the mainboard. If I remember correctly, mine didn't come with a backplate either.

argb (addressable rgb) is simply how the rgb's work. It only requires the 4-PIN PWM connector on your particular motherboard. To see if your motherboard has the connector, you can look in the manual or find it yourself if you know what to look for. You don't even need the bequiet software for the rgb's to work, but you do need it to switch to other lighting effects. I hope I could help and I wish you good luck with your purchase decision

Hi poldervaart0 First time building your own PC? No offence, just wondering if you take everything into consideration when choosing the fan. :) Yes, the fan fits. It is compatible with LGA1700 (socket of your mainboard). If you are interested in other fans from beQuiet, I can recommend their website, where you can check compatibility (you only need the details of the motherboard socket, manufacturer and name): https://www.bequiet.com/de... And of course don't forget: - Watt TDP specifications of the fan give you an impression of whether the fan can keep up with your CPU. You can also find the watt/TDP information from all fan manufacturers and usually also in the information here on digitec. - Check the dimensions of the fan -> does it fit in your case? Good decision making and tinkering wished.

Depending on the mainboard, this measures the start-up voltage and speed of the CPU fan. If this is below the parameters set for the mainboard, e.g. in the case of particularly slowly rotating fans, this error message is displayed, preferably on Asus mainboards. This warning can be turned off in the UEFI settings.
