Canon MX 925: I have not tested only black and white when colour is empty. But the printer also prints when various cartridges report empty. I only change when the print quality drops, not when the consumption indicator shows empty (confirm with ok). I use non-original cartridges from Tintenshop. Printer in operation for more than a year. Would buy the same printer again today. Good luck!

Buy secondhand from marco.piai "The printer incl. scope of delivery must be collected by the buyer within 10 working days after the end of the auction (location: 8044 Gockhausen) and paid for in cash."

If you mean that you can define a share as a target storage location directly in the device, then no. Scanning directly to a share is only possible via the connected PC. In the scan software you can predefine the destination separately when scanning from the PC and from the device, e.g. also a share on a NAS, that's how I do it.

Hello T, I assume that you are scanning with the 'IJ Scan Utility' (selection 'Document') (at least that's how I do it). Check that 'PDF (Multiple Pages)' is really selected under 'Save Settings' / 'Data Format' in 'Setup' / 'Scan Document'. Greetings Marcel

Hello Mr. Bernhard, yes, that should work - after all, the printer has a 'CD compartment' and it is also described in the user manual - but I have never done it myself. A search on Google and YouTube is also worthwhile - some people demonstrate how to do it... Yours faithfully, Marcel Margot

Yes. The two functions are set up independently of each other. A warning appears that the corresponding cartridge will soon be empty. The scanner continues to function. Then there is a warning that the cartridge is empty. Then you can continue to print (the cartridge is not empty) and you can continue to scan.

My printer came with an initial supply of cartridges, which should be the case with every printer. However, the filling quantity of the initial equipment is always a bit opaque, and there are rumours of cheating. By the way: I only used original Canon cartridges with this initial equipment and then only ordered them online from toner-partner. They cost much less and have worked perfectly so far. All in all, I can highly recommend the printer, at this price anyway. At the time I paid 40 more, but it is one of the best printers I have ever had in terms of price and performance.

I recommend one of the following sites where you can always check printer and cartridge compatibility (unfortunately only in German): http://www.crossprint.ch/ https://www.tintenfix.net/ Unfortunately an MX710 cannot be found. For the MX925 the right cartridges can be found here: http://www.crossprint.ch/canon.... Digitec does not deliver abroad.

I have the PIXMA MX925 and am satisfied. I cannot say from my own experience whether the cartridges also fit the MX710. Take a look at digitec's homepage: Click on "Accessories" for the MX925, then you will also see the printer cartridges. Click on one of them. Now the printers with which the cartridge is compatible appear further down. The MX710 is not among them. So I assume that the cartridges do not fit. MhG Christoph Zeller
