I can answer it like this: I already had the much heavier Nikon d800 on it and use it regularly for the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Cam 4k and under "normal" circumstances it works. The tripod is of course very light and the mechanics are a bit fiddly and jerky for the price (as a video tripod, i.e. if you want to pan while filming, it is not suitable in my opinion accordingly). If you want to shoot outside in a storm, I would perhaps also advise a heavier tripod. But in general I'm satisfied: it's light, easy to transport, it locks well (it doesn't adjust once you've set it and tightened it) - and for under 40 francs I also accept that I have to wiggle the panhead back and forth a bit until it's in the position I want it to be.

If you have an appropriate holding head, of course. But I only recommend it for photos. It is not suitable for quiet filming because it jerks in motion.

Essentially all consumer cameras come with a 1/4" tripod socket. This is very standardized - you don't have to worry about different manufacturers using different sockets/screws. So if your camera has a tripod socket, it will almost certainly work with any tripod with a mounting screw. If you look at the specifications for the Cullmann Alpha 2500 you'll see it has 1/4" and 3/8" tripod screws - so it supports consumer cameras (1/4"), including the D3400, and also larger professional cameras (3/8").

In terms of weight, it also worked with the Nikon D800 with the 28-70/2.8. The only catch: the mechanism is not made for smooth pans during a video. But otherwise a practical, lightweight photo tripod.

Tripods with 1/4'' thread are specified for the camera. The tripod is compatible with 1/4'' and 3/8'' threads, so it fits. The screw only goes in as far as the camera allows.

Note that this tripod is only suitable for taking photos. If you want to shoot film in good quality, this tripod is absolutely unsuitable, as the head does not allow for smooth movements. The head does not allow smooth movements.

No. Hardly at this price. An Arca quick-release plate will probably be more expensive than this tripod.

Yes, basically all tripods, as well as cameras and camcorders, have a standardised thread. This is usually 1/4". However, there are also adapters if this is not the case. However, this tripod and your camera both have 1/4" threads, so this is not a problem.
