Nevermind, Cullmann's website states 137cm of max height so I guess 70cm is without the extension.
yes, it is carbon, which is why it interested me for hiking. It is very neatly finished, but has very thin tubes and is poorly thought out. The tripod consists of the tripod, a double extension that can also be screwed in between the head and the tripod to achieve a greater height, and a tripod head. The head is probably oversized, the extension undersized, which does not have a good effect on stability. Unfortunately, the tripod itself has a small thread, the head a large one and the extension a large and a small one, so that one adapter screw without extension and two with are mandatory. The adapter screws can of course be lost efficiently. The design of the legs is very small for 70cm or ok if engaged wider for 60cm. But then the height is only achieved via a thin tube. The thing seems to me only suitable for small compact cameras and phones. -> I'm selling it again. Where I have ended up in the meantime: I would look at the Cullmann Neomax 220 for hiking and replace the normal head with the small Novoflex tripod head if I have to. Even if the thing is only aluminium: the combination is only slightly heavier (512g) but achieves significantly more stable height 74cm, has much wider design of the legs, is much quicker to extend, you don't have to screw in an extension, has no adapter screw disaster and if I trust the vibration app on the iphone, this also has significantly less vibration than the tripod above. Suffices up to just under 1kilo MFT cameras for astrophotos and I've amazingly not found anything better so far.
