The Delock Display Port cable is designed for 4K. Graphics cards with the 1.4 standard transmit at 4K and 120Hz or 8K at 60Hz. The 144Hz frequency is only achieved via DVI. The new DP 2.0 standard will support resolutions of up to 16K or 15360 x 8460 pixels and use the conventional Displayport connector or USB Type-C for this purpose. The first devices with Displayport 2.0 are expected to come onto the market from the end of 2020. However, these resolutions will be achieved at 60Hz.

Works perfectly for me. Here's something interesting about Displayport: Standard Displayport (as created by HP) has no different versions or throughput rates. There is exactly one standard and anyone who does not comply with it must note this on the cable. If you look, there are some Displayport cables that say 1080p 60hz on the box to indicate this "downgrade". There is no limit or max. resolution etc. on this cable. Resolution etc. So it must support the standard (2560 x 1440 with 144hz or 4k 60hz). If this were not the case, you could of course complain.

No, it is not. I bought this cable and had to find out the following: This cable is basically not suitable for connecting a monitor directly to the PC/graphics card. This is because pin 20 of the display port cable is connected. This pin supplies the PC/graphics card with power from the monitor, which, however, according to the interface definition, must not happen with direct connection of monitor to PC. This power supply at pin 20 is intended for intermediate devices, such as repeaters, etc. Source: https://www.necdisplay.com/documents... If the pin 20 connection could be cut, the cable could certainly be G-Sync compatible.
