Hy all I read in one of the reviews that Stream Deck XL cannot be connected via a USB hub. Can anyone confirm or refute this with their own experience?

Day together I have another small question that I hope someone can help me with: Do I need different software for the Steam Deck XL than for the normal Stream Deck? I work at a place where all software has to be fed into a software centre by IT and I've already been on their ass for the drivers/software of the standard version :)

Is it really as in the description that the Elgato products only run on Windows 10? Has this not been adapted to Windows 11? Windows 10 is no longer supported. Thank you for your reply.

Hello together I have been given the honourable task of taking over the technical side of a large amateur theatre. With lighting etc. As well as music, I am well provided for and up to speed. Ideally, I now need a physical device with which I can record sounds simply and easily. For example, a doorbell, an incoming telephone call, birdsong, etc.. I imagined doing this with a Launchpad from Novation, for example, and then came across the Elgato Stream Deck. Would the Stream Deck be a better option? Would it be possible to play sound files that I will then load at the touch of a button using the software supplied? Do I need additional software here? What would you recommend? The XL model is great but far too expensive. As an alternative, I use the Stream Deck with 15 buttons and the Touch Portal for all kinds of tablets for 15 euros with an extremely wide range of possibilities. The XL version (Stream Deck) is still an option for me without ifs and buts, except at this price, when the price is around 250. That's only because I'm a technophile and love it when lots of glowing buttons spread out in front of me. But as I said, it's too expensive just to have it decorate my desk.

So the size must be?
