Also successfully retrofitted on an HP EliteBook 850 G7. The module was also listed in the TechSpecs. Do not insert the SIM until the driver has been successfully installed! Otherwise the module will not be activated properly under Windows.

You should be able to find a list of matching components at https://partsurfer.hp.com/ after specifying the exact serial number of the notebook. You can then search for the item with the manufacturer's number. If you do not find what you are looking for, please contact our customer service at https://helpcenter.digitec.ch/hc... with the exact S/N number.

I can't really answer that, except to say that many WWAN modules that fit in there in terms of dimensions and connections actually work. Actually, because HP has built in a lock here: Even if, for example, various HP modules and third-party modules would work, the BIOS has a fixed definition of which components are permitted (cannot be read out in the BIOS view). All others are acknowledged with a beep sound and a message when booting. The laptop runs perfectly, but the WWAN function is deactivated. In other words, HP is playing the card of protecting its own market here. Only original HP parts and only the very specific models. No chance to change the BIOS (or there are hacks, but the effort is too high in my opinion). In any case, I would google more extensively, also in English, or ask the HP hotline/support to find out the correct product number. It's really tedious. Good luck.

Hello, Then I think you should check again if your model is compatible with WWAN. In this model the WWAN cables are blue and red. They come from the left side of the screen, like point number 1 on this picture: https://ibb.co/cFjpqRG
