unfortunately not, i suspect galaxus didn't have any in stock and this was the price from a third party supplier.

After comparison they are the same products, only the supplier changes. On the other hand, there is indeed a data error, they have 8mpx and not 2mpx according to our research. We are sorry for the confusion.
I don't know your monitor, but my Dell Ultrasharp U2515 covers a few mm.

I works out of the box with CentOS 7 (VM Ware guest). I assume it works with every distribution using generic drivers. lsusb -t lists the following drivers: snd-usb-audio and uvcvideo. Full output: https://pastebin.com/eTxLi1MN
Basically yes. It has a normal USB connection. What matters most is the TV. Whether it has a USB input to which you can connect the cam. Often these are only outputs. Then it also depends on whether a corresponding app is available on the TV. It's best to check the manual of the TV.
