To your actual question: Yes, I agree. I would also prefer three identical tips (like the original). But I haven't found them anywhere either... Perhaps Galaxus/Digitec makes enough sales with Surface products and could make representations to Microsoft in the interest of their customers? :-)

This could be due to the fact that the tips are adapted to the pens used with the Surface Pro 4.
And, according to information online, the 1176 pen can be used with the following models: Microsoft Surface Pro, For Microsoft Surface Book, For Microsoft Surface Pro 2, For Microsoft Surface Pro 3, For Microsoft Surface Pro 4, For Microsoft Surface Pro 5, Microsoft Surface Book 2.

Unfortunately, they are not compatible. We do not sell them at the moment.
The original tip on the pen also broke. I then tried to get a new one. Apparently there is only a set of three. I bought it and use the blue tip, which works halfway (for my writing).

Yes, the tips are compatible. I also recently bought them and put them in. The old tip can simply be pulled out by hand. Pliers are not necessary.
