If you switch off the device while listening to a longer audio file (lecture, audio book), does playback start at the same point when you switch it on again or does playback start again at the beginning of the recording? Many thanks for your help.

Helpful answer

If another file is not played first after switching the device back on, playback will start from the same place where the device was switched off (i.e. if the correct file is selected again as the first file).

I bought the Olympus OM Systems LS-P5 recorder. After hours of searching, there is no way to connect it to my Mac, either via the USB-B cable or via Bluetooth. Can anyone tell me how to transfer the data from the voice recorder to a Mac?

Helpful answer

Only the USB cable provided worked for me, or a "real" data cable...it's probably a bit tricky in this respect. In the menu, I selected "PC" under USB Connection and "Storage" under USB Class. This way the device should be recognised as a standard USB storage device, which also works for me under Linux. I have not tried Bluetooth...
