If you switch off the device while listening to a longer audio file (lecture, audio book), does playback start at the same point when you switch it on again or does playback start again at the beginning of the recording? Many thanks for your help.

If another file is not played first after switching the device back on, playback will start from the same place where the device was switched off (i.e. if the correct file is selected again as the first file).
With my device, when I switch it on again, playback starts from the same place as before I switched it off
As long as you are not listening to another file, the recording continues from the last point in time.
You can easily set or delete indices with a button, so you can find the position again even after changing the battery.
