A completely new feature of the TZ96 is the possibility to establish a low-power connection with a smart device via Bluetooth 4.2. Of course, the sensor remains the same small size. This is not otherwise possible with such cameras. They will disappear in the next few years anyway and be replaced by mobile phones. These absurd zoom ranges in mediocre quality only serve marketing purposes anyway. I would otherwise recommend a camera with a 1 inch sensor. Sony RX100 series or Lumix LX15 or Lumix Tz202.
