I have a sunrise fibre optic router with a 10gbps connection and I would like to add a switch to distribute this speed to my computer (which is not in the same room as the router) with an RJ45 cable (cat. 6a) and a network card that supports 10gbps. Can this switch do the job? Thanks

Dear all, I got Wingo fiber 10Gb with siwsscom Internet-box 4 (with 10Gb output). The internet-box 4 is not in my office/game room so Swisscom extended through the walls the 10Gb RJ-45 cable (Cat 6) to my room. So the target is to connect my Mac Mini M2 pro (max 1Gb reciever), My PC (max 1Gb reciever) and my PS5 (max 1Gb reciever) with RJ-45 cables. So is the QNAP the solution for my setup ? I would plug the 10Gb into the port 1 and plug on the 3, 4 and 5 on the other devices. Thanks for you help.

Hello Together I have purchased and installed the QNAP QSW-2104-2T. Works perfectly. However, when using it in the living room, I find the activity lights rather annoying. (Flickering during data throughput...) Is there a way to deactivate the activity lights? Thank you and greetings, Roger

Hoi - this is not possible even with many managed switches... your switch is unmanaged, i.e. you will not be able to configure it via the web interface. You can therefore try to cover the LED with black insulating tape, for example. LG
