Yes, I think that's possible, but I've never tried it. What I do know is that connecting the device to a video camera to record clear sound works. So it should also work with an amplifier.
Werner Frey
It will be possible, someone has already made a tutorial about it on YouTube.
But they can't be swapped just like that. I've been working with the first generation for two years without any noticeable loss.
Yes, you can send the audio signal to an iPhone. However, two additional accessories are required:
- Lightning to TRRS jack
- Rode SC7 TRS jack to TRRS
The disadvantage is that after a plug, it is better to unplug the lightning so that the sound can be sent to the speaker and to make sure that the signal has been recorded.
I haven't had that problem yet, you just have to press the power button for about 5 seconds to turn it on and off. However, I have not used it very often.
Yours sincerely Werner
you mean if you attach an dedicated capsule, then sure. standalone for voices it is most definitely better than a shotgun mike pointed at someone across the room
Dear Florian Wagner
I have never used the device in the environment with a lot of background noise. We need it for lectures to record the sound, which works very well.
With kind regards
Werner Frey
Probably not very good. I recently had a hybrid event where the moderator spoke to the video conference participants with the Wireless Go II. This worked very well. However, hardly anything could be heard from the room (fortunately in our case). But how it looks in your specific situation should be tested.
Hello everyone,
My two microphones are in conflict when they are both switched on.
both are connected to the receiver because the LEDs indicate this perfectly, but on the receiver only one mic is displayed.
the receiver is only receiving one of the two, always the one closest to it.
When the two microphones are close together, neither works.
I tried to:
Uncouple/Recouple the microphones one by one with the receiver, nothing changes.
Update receiver and microphones, nothing changes.
Factory reset, same thing, nothing changes.
It's as if the two mics were twins but the receiver could only see one.
I must admit I've run out of ideas...
do you have a solution please?
Resetting the Rode Wireless GO II
Turn off both transmitters and the receiver by holding down the power button until the LEDs turn off.
Perform a factory reset on the receiver:
Power on the receiver by holding the power button.
Access the receiver's menu by pressing the middle button.
Navigate to the "Settings" menu using the arrow buttons.
Select "Reset" or "Factory Reset" and confirm the action. This will reset the receiver to its default settings.
Perform a factory reset on each transmitter:
Power on each transmitter by holding the power button.
To reset each transmitter, use a small pin or paperclip to press the reset button located on the side or back of the transmitter (depending on the model). Hold the reset button until the LED blinks.
Reconnecting the Transmitters with the Receiver
Power on the receiver by holding the power button.
Power on each transmitter by holding their power buttons until the LEDs light up.
Pair the first transmitter:
On the receiver, enter the "Pairing" mode by navigating to the pairing menu.
The receiver should automatically detect the first transmitter. If not, follow the on-screen instructions to manually pair the transmitter.
Once paired, the receiver's display should show the connection status for the first transmitter.
Pair the second transmitter:
Repeat the same process to enter the "Pairing" mode for the second transmitter.
Follow the on-screen instructions to pair the second transmitter with the receiver.
Confirm that both transmitters are connected and displayed on the receiver's screen.
Final Check
Test the connection by speaking into each transmitter's microphone and checking if the receiver picks up the audio signal.
Adjust any settings as needed through the receiver's menu for optimal performance.
Your Rode Wireless GO II system should now be reset and reconnected, ready for use.
good to know:
some troubleshooting steps below, could you please go through them for me and answer any listed questions?
To start, please let us know if you're using a Mac or PC for the following steps:
1. Uninstall/delete any previous versions of the RØDE Central desktop application.
2. Download and install the latest version of RØDE Central desktop app v2.0.41, available from here:
https://rode.com/en/software/rode-central#section-desktop-download
3. Via the latest desktop version of the RØDE Central app, install the latest firmware onto each of your Wireless GO II units (v2.4.6).
For more detailed information on this process, please see our article How to perform a firmware Update with the Wireless GO II
PLEASE NOTE: Installing the latest firmware will delete the internal recordings and change all settings back to factory settings. Please first make sure any essential recordings have been backed up/exported, as the latest firmware or a factory reset deletes the internal recordings. Please let us know if you are unable to back up your recordings.
If the issue persists or you can't update the units due to the <15% message, I also recommend performing a factory reset on each of the three units.
To do this in RØDE Central, press the settings button in the top right (1) and then press the factory reset button (2).
Additionally, I suggest that you run a diagnostic test to determine if there is an issue with the Wireless GO II units.
Follow the prompts of the diagnostic test to see if there is an issue with the hardware or firmware of the units. Once the test is complete, let us know if the tool was able to detect any abnormalities.
For further information on how to use the diagnostic tool, I suggest viewing the article below: How to use the Diagnostic tool in RØDE Central
