New processor about 2x as fast. And a new version of the firmware that you can only install on the CX II. This means that if you buy a new Nspire, then buy the CX-II (CAS). IMO a change from the old to the new version is not worthwhile / only in very rare cases. And if you want more speed then there are other calculators that do it a little better than the Nspire series.

The Nspire with CAS help you enormously because they can solve complex formulas. I don't know how many PC/Apple apps there are that can do this just as well. You can solve for different variables (e.g. for X), rearrange formulas, etc., etc., in an unnoticeable amount of time. For example, if you are in a further education course that goes a bit further, you can easily check all your step results and better understand where you made your mistakes. In addition to algebra, the thing can also discuss curves. This means that a curve definition can be displayed graphically directly and you can move points with the touch screen. Regarding PC vs. Nspire, of course you also have to consider that the calculator is admitted to exams, a PC is not ;) As you can see, there are reasons why one could still buy such a device.

I have my CX CAS in front of me and yes indeed you can change the language without too much trouble. The calculator doesn't even need to restart when changing. There is an English version in the U.K. and a U.S. version.

Hello cartridge I used this calculator for my BSc Computer Science FH and got through it fine. Important, at least for the computer scientists, is that you use the calculator with the extension "CAS", which I think is a bit more expensive. Otherwise, it's a good calculator.
