If I have seen this correctly on the WD homepage, the power supply unit has 12 volts/1.5A. Then this one should work:

It does not go into standby for me. But it could also be because my Plex server is accessing it and my Synology DS216j thinks that the disk is in use.
I have also tried to activate the USB StandBy for the MyBook in the Synology settings. Unfortunately, this did not work in my case.
According to our own research, this operating system is not specified, only Mac OS X El Capitan, Yosemite or Mavericks and the information that others may require reformatting.

Yes, it is compatible with Sierra version 10.13.6 . I just upgraded to Mojave 10.14.6 without any problem. In fact there should be no incompatibility with future versions. In the worst case, it will be possible to format it to a new format.
In principle almost the same, but My Book with backup software and encryption is more secure for confidential data.
