Yes, you can use the My Cloud EX2 Ultra as network storage for both Mac and PC and set up backups for both devices at the same time. - Network storage: The My Cloud EX2 Ultra offers centralised network storage that allows you to store and share files, photos, documents and other data from both Mac and PC. It supports both Windows and macOS and allows data to be accessed from anywhere. - Time Machine for Mac: You can configure the My Cloud EX2 Ultra as a destination for Time Machine backups of your Mac. This allows you to store regular backups of your Mac on the NAS. - Backup for PC: For PCs, you can use various backup options offered by the My Cloud EX2 Ultra. For example, you can use the NAS's built-in backup tool or third-party software to perform regular backups of your PC data. Overall, the My Cloud EX2 Ultra is well suited to serve as a centralised backup and storage solution for both platforms.

Yes, set the Raid profile to Raid 1 and the hard disk will be mirrored. Note that the total capacity is halved! (2 x 2 GB thus gives a usable capacity of 2 GB).

I don't have a MAC OS computer, but with Windows, you can either use the WD Access application to connect the part with Windows' own file explorer and connect it like a server or, for example, open it on the mobile device via the application itself as file software. Have you installed the software correctly?: https://www.youtube.com/watch

Not directly. This is certainly possible. However, care should then be taken that the hard disks do not lie on their heads. You should also put some foam or something similar underneath so that any vibrations are dampened by the enclosure. If it stands vertically (normal), it has a rubber pad at the bottom.

Yes, that works. However, you have to give the NAS some time until the card is recognised and the information is published. It also works with USB hard drives or other USB devices.
