How is the integration with Home Assistant?

The integration of the Yamaha YAS-109 with Home Assistant can be done via a special Yamaha soundbar component available on GitHub. This component supports Yamaha soundbars based on Linkplay A118 and has been tested on the YAS-109. The standard Yamaha integration in Home Assistant may not work correctly for the YAS-109 as it is rather designed for Yamaha Network Receivers. To integrate the soundbar, the custom component must be installed and configured in `configuration.yaml`.

After 2 days of searching the internet, endless discussions with my wife because I put so much time into it, I found the solution. I'm sure there are others of you where Alexa doesn't work in the app. Here is the solution I discovered by chance in a comment on a YouTube video. Android only, I don't know about IOS.... You have to search for "Language" under Settings. Then select "Germany" as the country. Your mobile phone makes a small noticeable update on the mobile phone. And bang, Alexa appears in the app and is configurable. Done.

Hello Yes you can listen to music. But I don't use it with Alexa. Otherwise, I can only recommend the soundbar.
