With iWay: Plug the fibre connector of the old modem into the new Fritz!Box 5590 and a short phone call with iWay and it runs smoothly. The necessary SFP module AON (1 Gbit/s) is included in the scope of delivery.

After connecting the box I had a glass fibre connection showing but no internet connection. I had to contact my Internet provider and we had to work through a few settings until, just as we were about to give up we got an internet connection. The guy who I was talking with assured me that ths FritzBox was one of the best but that they didn't give it out as a few people had had installation problems.

I previously had the WingoBox connected (green plug on the socket and blue on the module of the box)
With the Fritzbox 5590 I used the enclosed AON module (green) and then went from the socket (green) to the green module of the Fritzbox with the enclosed cable.
Follow the instructions, but to make it work, I had to enter the following settings (it didn't work without VLAN):
Internet provider: other Internet provider
Internet access via: Fibre optic
Are access data required? No
Downstream: 10000
Upstream: 10000
Use VLAN for Internet access: Yes
VLAN ID: 10
PBit: 0
Leave everything else at default.
However, I already had the line active as I previously had the WingoBox connected. That's why I didn't need any information from Wingo. However, if you take out a new plan and want to start directly with the Fritzbox, you would probably have to ask for the access data for the line.
