Soundbar alone = OK / Soundbar with Sub + Rears = GOOD
For those who are simply looking for a soundbar for the bedroom to improve the sound of the TV, the Soundbar 900 Solo is completely sufficient. To be honest, I think the much cheaper Soundbar 300 from Bose is enough, but if you want a really good sound in the bedroom without any add-ons, you should buy the 900.
BUT: If you want to use it in the living room for your home cinema, you won't be happy with the soundbar alone. You absolutely need the additional modules in the form of the Bose Subwoofer 700 and Bose Rear Speaker 700. All together, you'll quickly be looking at 1800-2000 CHF.
But with these components, the Bose doesn't have to hide in the home cinema. It simply has a beautiful sound at any volume. Even if you turn up the volume, nothing distorts! That's typical of Bose and partly also of Harman.
One small criticism: no matter what you do, the sound always takes 2-3 seconds to start. Even if you pause Netflix for a short time and then press PLAY again, the soundbar needs 2-3 seconds until the sound comes out again. Very strange.Pro

Too expensive for the service
Unfortunately, there are always connection problems after switching from Bluetooth to HDMi ARC.

Unfortunately only of limited use as Multiroom
The smart speakers and the soundbar sound great (I still have the Smart Speaker 500). However, the app is very poor! Bose sells the whole thing as a multi-room system, but if the speaker group is not used for 15 minutes, the group falls apart again and everything has to be reconnected. Contacting Bose support is unfortunately not possible, chat is never active and there is no other way to reach Bose.

Soundbar does not always start
Unfortunately, no plug-and-play. Soundbar must always be paired with the TV. Partly by pulling the plug. Tedious!

Incomplete order
I don't understand if I pay almost 1000 francs for a box that is then sent without operating instructions, without the original packaging and with the wrong remote control. I already assumed that the wrong box had been sent, but I was able to check the back of the box to make sure that at least the correct box had been sent.
Normally really happy with Digitec / Galaxus but things went really wrong with this order! I actually expect the original remote control, operating instructions and original packaging to be sent to me!Pro

Compatibility issues with Samsung QLED TV
Connecting the Bose soundbar to the Samsung TV via HDMI is an eternal problem and unstable.
It is not clear whether the problem lies with Samsung or with Bose.Pro

Great soundbar
It's not worth buying the Ultra Soundbar from Bose if the 900 soundbar is cheaper. There is hardly any difference.

Bose Smart Soundbar 900
Beautiful design, surface in glass look (rest in plastic). Sound quality is very good in combination with the Bose Bass Module 700 and the Bose Surround Speakers 700. Simple audio room calibration (ADAPTiQ) ensures sound reproduction that is specifically adapted to the room. The only drawback is the few connection options. (HDMI eARC IN (1x), optical audio input (1x), LAN RJ45 (1x) there could be a little more.

A little bit of a disappointment
I wanted to replace my current system (Yamaha s710d + Bose acousticmass 15) with a Dolby Atmos system. My TV is not Earc compatible but only ARC and only has 3 HDMI sockets. So I had planned to connect the soundbare directly to the 2nd HDMI socket of my BD player, which is Atmos certified. Unfortunately I couldn't get any sound. Bose support told me that it doesn't work. So I was forced to connect the soundbare optically to the TV. It's a shame.

A bar that emits sound, but not just any sound - Bose quality sound.Pro

Nice sound
For this price range (i buy it for 811fr.) i think it’s a very good choice. I use it in a 40sqm room and i’m happy with the soundbar, i’m not looking for very lound sound. I don’t need the subwoofer, just set the bass to 100 (max).

Fully satisfied
I am switching from a soundtouch 300 model also from Bose and do not regret the purchase. It is as always good bose quality.
Two small criticisms I have, the balance of the center Lauftsprecher in Atmos and not Atmos mode is unbalanced. In Atmos everything seems to be well mixed, in normal 5.1 or DD quality, the center is quieter.
The second thing that almost made me return the product was the AdaptiQ. It would not work, there was always an error when calibrating. On the net someone said that if you put the headphones on a stand instead of yourself, it should work. This actually worked, which means for me that the headphones are too sensitive to movement and thus prevents the calibration. Since several have reported it on the net, I would rule out a defect.
All in all a great product and can only recommend, works great with Soundtouch acousticmass 300 and surround speaker.Pro
