G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB

This time instead of Corsair, I wanted to try something different. I'm glad I chose G.Skill trident Z5 RGB. Not only do they look better, they cost less than the Dominator with similar specifications.
With an AM5 motherboard ASUS Creator X670e under D.O.C.P (XMP) the timings were detected correctly and ran at 6200 MHz right away without any problems. I will test the overlocking potential later to see how far I can go. I am sure that the Neo variant offers better subtimings, but at 6000MHz.

runs on the Asus Z790 Maximus Hero without problems, XMP2 loaded - running.
Reading speed in AIDA64 - 120000MB/s compared to the 6400 CL32 (96000MB/s).
... whether the surcharge is worth it, everyone must decide for themselves.

I mean with RAM you should of course really calculate the more precise cycle times (just google it) so that you get a more precise indication of the speed.
I made sure that I chose a sweet spot in terms of speed and size.
The 32GB of RAM is enough for any application for now. In 2024, I think the normal standard should definitely be 16GB. To make it future-proof, you should choose 32GB.
Whether it should necessarily be DDR5 memory is up to you, but with my DDR5 mainboard I wanted to make "private pension provision".
I can't complain about the speed. Some games just like it when you have faster RAM in them, and for some games it doesn't matter at all. Considering that the RAM bar shows very little "noticeable performance", I'm still very satisfied. The fact that the RAM includes RGB is a matter of taste. I think it looks very nice with the white heat sink.
I don't think you can go far wrong with this RAM!

-I bought by mistake because the corsair I wanted was not available. My Asus prime x670E motherboard still takes a long time to boot because it's not in the list of supported ram, apart from that, windows, games are stable, nothing to report.
-The ram does not interfere with the Noctua NH-D15 cooler.
-After 2 weeks: If used with AMD, use the DOCP2 profile and lower the frequency to 5200 for stable use and fast booting.

Runs stable with D.O.C.P (XMP) profile applied with a Ryzen 9 7950X, only had problems with other RAM (crashes, not always booting).

One of the bars did not manage the 6400MHz, had to screw both down...

Sometimes xmp settings don't boot after changing something in the bios, even though the setting previously were stable.

The bars offer excellent performance and are reliable. Nothing more needs to be said.

I got the ram used/tested cheap, new price would be too high for me, you can almost get 64gb ....
Run with the specified clock on a MSI B650 Tomahawk with Ryzen 7800x3d in 1:2 mode@ddr7800 and 1:1 mode DDR 6200 c28 with 1.43vdimm
Unfortunately, my board does not get along with the Renesas controller for the voltage, so high voltage mode is not possible, i.e.
maximum 1.43vDimm (with 2x16gb Gskill 6600 Hynix m-Die goes Overvolting)
Nevertheless excellent ram that performs even with less voltage than intended
DDR8000 single error in Testmem because the voltage is missing but sometime I will test on another board with 1.5v ;)
80mm fans recommended as they can get quite warm and produce errors with sharp subtimings@50c+ !

The memory runs with the CL30 settings on my Asus Crosshair x670e with a 7950x on it. Simply loaded the mode for the memory in the BIOS and everything ran directly out-of-the-box.
So I can't say anything negative about it, it does what it's supposed to do. You can switch off the RGB via software. When I bought the memory, it was unfortunately only available with "Blink-Blink" ;-)

Definitely the best RAM at the moment in terms of price-performance.
Super fast and enough memory for all gamers and video/image processors.
What I would also advise is to select the right XMP profile in the bios to be able to use the full performance of the RAM.

I ordered this RAM bar, but unfortunately it was immediately defective. Despite the stick-on quality seal, the memory was obviously not tested because my system did not recognise it and MemTest86 immediately showed errors.
Positive: Fast dispatch, well packaged.
Negative: Quality assurance only as a sticker, but no real testing.
It's annoying that you rely on a seal but still receive defective goods. Reversal in progress - let's see how customer service reacts.
Been waiting 5 days. No response and you can't go to the shop in SG to clarify this because of the rein action.... Wtf
Been a customer since Digitec was founded. But in the last few years, well.... No longer what it used to be....

Since my new computer performed excellently in the benchmark, I assume that the Rams are also working well. However, I could do without the unnecessary LED gimmicks. It's completely unnecessary and blocks the space for the CPU cooler. A sign of the times! It has to flicker and flicker everywhere.
