This joined my Ubiquity 24-port 10Gbps switch, to be in a second room.
It just works. Nice, silent, small, smart, but works out of the box.
Works nicely with Ubiquity SFP+ 10GBASE-SR modules, and Mellanox ConnectX-3 EN cards on another side (with same SFP+ modules). I just started working with fiber 2 weeks ago (after using copper for last 15 years in a lot of stuff and network), and I already love it (not just performance, but cabling is so nice).

Perfect product to switch 4x 10Gbps devices.
You should be aware that if you use Ethernet SFP+ Adapters you should find a way to add active cooling or they will probably overheat. I laid a 120mm case fan atop and it works flawlessly while remaining very silent.

This is the small version of the 16 port SFP+ switch from MikroTik. Like the 16 port, the switch runs on RouterOS or SwitchOS. I use SwitchOS, which is perfectly sufficient for my needs.
The switch can't match the features of an enterprise switch from HPE or Cisco, but offers more than enough for the normal small home lab.
The switch to SwOS is not that intuitive, but you can find everything on the net.

Fantastic switch for the money - would not recommend to use this as a L3 device even though there is a router based operating system available.
Using this as a cheap tengig distribution switch in a datacenter, tying together two ISP routers and one colo rack downlink. Would recommend as a switch.

Small, powerful SFP+ switch with possibility of redundant power supply. Attention it is delivered only with an external power supply.

What this little box offers for just over CHF 120 is enormous. The functions are at professional level and that is also its weak point, if you can call it that at all. Router OS is aimed at professionals. A layman who has no or only consumer component experience is easily overwhelmed.
