Perfect data guardian
I've been using the Synology DS224+ in my small office for a few weeks now and I'm absolutely delighted with it. Setting it up was a breeze and thanks to the pre-installed DSM software, we were up and running in minutes. I particularly appreciate the fact that I can now access my data from anywhere and share it securely.

Defective NAS received
After 4 years of use and a lot of money left lying around at Digitec Galaxus, it's just disappointing. No wonder people are increasingly buying from Temu or similar. At least there you know it's rubbish. Digitec's service is unfortunately going downhill. The general guarantee does not apply!

- Digitec then said, sry should have come within 5 days
- Allegedly no spare parts available

Very noisy discs
Excellent product, in line with Synology. Remarkable versatility and proven reliability (my previous entry-level NAS is still running after 11 years!). But the brand's hard drives are very noisy. Much louder than my old WD Red. Not recommended for domestic use (the disks!).

Good but not as good as it could be
The overall package is basically good but the software has weaknesses. For example, the photo app if you don't just want to throw photos into a pile but also organise them. When adding photos to an album, for example, you can't see whether they are already in the album.

- Relatively easy to operate
- Volume is not noticeable in the living room
