Micaflat heaters are best used on flat surfaces to be heated where silicone or foil heaters are not suitable, for temperatures above 160°C. These heaters must be temperature controlled and properly secured for best performance. The flat plate mica heaters are used in applications such as dies, rollers, molds, tanks, and process machines. They are manufactured by winding a resistance wire, insulated and provided with terminals, enclosed in a Zintec sheath for good mechanical strength and protection, allowing high temperature surface heating up to 260°C.
