Product details

The compact camera with APS-C sensor is not only the one with the fastest autofocus in its class, it also has a number of functions that make autofocus even better in terms of precision - such as Real Time Eye Autofocus and Real Time Tracking. To ensure that the photographer never misses a subject despite accurate autofocus, the Alpha 6400 can take up to eleven pictures per second with automatic focus tracking. The BIONZ X processor generation is responsible for the excellent image quality - for both photos and 4K videos. The touch screen on the back of the camera can be rotated 180 degrees. All of this makes the camera an excellent tool for creative professionals, ambitious amateurs and vloggers alike. The Alpha 6400's autofocus system focusses within 0.02 seconds. No wonder, because the new camera has some extras that are otherwise only available on the Alpha 9, Alpha 7 III and Alpha 7R III full-frame cameras. With 425 phase and contrast autofocus points each, which are distributed close together over around 84 per cent of the sensor surface, the camera covers the largest part of the viewfinder image. Together with the power of the BIONZ X processor, the camera reliably calculates the position of the subject in focus and guides the focal point accordingly - no matter how fast the subject is moving. With the Real Time eye autofocus, Sony has further developed the familiar eye autofocus. With the help of artificial intelligence, the Alpha 6400 processes the position information for both eyes and calculates the next position in advance.
