Product details

XCSMP safety interlock switches are developed in accordance with the applicable standards IEC 60947, EN 292, EN 60204, and EN 1088 to ensure the safety of machine operators and operational reliability. These switches protect personnel by stopping the machine when the actuator element attached to the machine guard is pulled out of the switch head. When properly installed, they provide a control circuit of category 3 or category 4 (in combination with the Preventa XPS safety module) according to EN 954.

The switches are made of plastic, double insulated, and feature a rotary head. They come in types XCSMP, XCSPA, and XCST, with options for locking the actuator element. A miniature version is available with a plastic housing and pre-wired lengths of 2 m, 5 m, or 10 m. The maximum actuation speed is 1.5 m/s, with a minimum of 0.05 m/s. They have a mechanical stability of over 1 million switching cycles and a maximum operating rate for maximum lifespan of 1200 switching cycles per hour. The operating temperature range is from -25 to +70 °C, and for storage, it is -40 to +70 °C (or -25 to +80 °C for XCSMP).
