The compact TRENDnet 1000BASE-T to Dual SFP Fiber Media Converter with redundancy mode, model TFC-G21SFP, converts a 1000BASE-T Ethernet connection (copper 1 Gbps) into two 1G-BASE-SX/LX SFP (fiber) media connections and vice versa. The 1000BASE-T RJ-45 port on the SFP transceiver supports a full-duplex connection at 1 Gbps line speed. The two SFP ports allow for uplink redundancy in case one of the SFP port connections fails. The SFP ports support both multimode (SX) and singlemode (LX) SFP modules. 1x Gigabit RJ-45 port, 2x Gigabit SFP ports, redundant SFP uplink, SFP ports can accommodate multimode or singlemode modules, auto-MDIX RJ-45 port supports full-duplex mode, operates as a standalone converter.
