The Vertiv Geist Rack Transfer Switch VA4U2100 is a versatile rack power distribution unit (Rack PDU) with a transfer switch. It is a single-phase, device-level monitored rack PDU with 16 A/20 A, 120 V/208 V/230 V and 12 C13/C19 combination outlets, as well as two C20 inputs, providing a maximum power capacity of 1.9 kW/3.3 kW/3.6 kW. The RTS offers redundant power supply for devices with a single cable and helps ensure uninterrupted power supply during a power outage. It can quickly detect a failure of the primary power source and automatically switch to the secondary power source in less than 4 to 8 milliseconds. The C13/C19 combination outlets are compatible with C14 and C20 plugs, providing flexibility for constantly changing requirements. The outlets are P-Lock compatible and have a high retention force, reducing the risk of costly downtime due to accidental disconnection of the power cable. The replaceable monitoring device allows for remote monitoring of power supply at the device level. The warranty for this TAA-compliant Vertiv RTS is three years by default and can be extended to five years if registered within 120 days of purchase.
