Product details

Supported protocols include IEEE 802.3, IEEE 802.3u, IEEE 802.3ab, and IEEE 802.3x, as well as CoS according to IEEE 802.1p. There are 4 queues (priority classes) available per port. The compact housing, certified to IP30 protection class, has been designed for use in harsh and demanding industrial environments where significant temperature variations and physical stress are common. The ETHSWG5C is an unmanaged, plug-and-play switch with a non-blocking/wirespeed Layer-2 switching engine. The store-and-forward operating mode ensures secure transmission. The optional Flooding Storm Control feature protects against unwanted consumption of the available bandwidth by broadcast or multicast data frames. The switch is equipped with a redundant power input and a fault relay for signaling an error condition. This ensures uninterrupted operation and direct fault detection in the event of a power supply failure or power loss.
