Das integrierte Kartenlesegerät ist nicht das schnellste, und leider erfüllt die für externe Geräte gedachte USB-Buchse lediglich den 2.0-Standard, doch darüber lassen sich auch moderne CFe-Karten auslesen. WLAN ist weniger für die Datenübertragung als zur Bildkontrolle interessant, die als grober Filter auch unterwegs "am Lagerfeuer" durchgeführt werden kann...
Die instabile WLAN-Verbindung ist das größte Manko der My Passport. Hier muss Western Digital dringend nachbessern. Ansonsten ist die SSD dank nützlicher Extras ein vielseitig einsetzbarer externer Speicher, der hart im Nehmen ist.
