Zwar ist der Preis für das Objektiv mehr als satt aber dafür erhält der Nutzer mit dem Modell nicht nur ein top Modell, sondern auch eines, das sich kaum Patzer erlaubt. Schon offen erzeugt es tolle Ergebnisse mit sehr hoher Schärfe und Kontrast. Zwar ist ein Autofokus nicht mit an Bord aber dafür ist die Schärfe und Abbildungsleistung über den gesamten Bereich sehr gut.
Bereits offen zeigt das Otus sehr gute Werte, die dann mit dem Abblenden zunehmend besser werden. dass dabei das Modell nicht nur sehr gut verarbeitet ist, sondern sich auch manuell fokussieren lässt, sollte Grund genug sein, um es sich näher anzusehen. Zwar ist das Gewicht recht hoch, sodass der Einsatz eines Stativs hilfreich wäre aber die Bildqualität ist exzellent.
Die Gesamtwertung zum Zeiss Otus 1,4 / 85 mm ZF.2 fällt positiv aus, einzige Schwäche ist hier das Fehlen des Autofokus. Ansonsten stimmt die Ausstattung der Festbrennweite jedoch, die Objektivgüte ist prima und vor allem die Auflösung ist hier sehr stark.
