Question about Devolo dLAN 550 duo+ Starter Kit
A special case: I live on the 3rd floor and have a small cellar compartment. In the basement, there is a socket on the wooden door that is connected to a power cable. My question: Will it work if I plug the adapter into a power strip? I only have one socket, which I need for light. So I would plug the adapter into the power strip. What do you think, could this work? I work in the basement from time to time, so I don't need internet for streaming or gaming, the main thing is that I can install updates or use the internet for a short time now and then. So I don't have any big demands. At the moment I don't have internet in the basement. What do you think, will that be possible? I don't want to buy the adapters for nothing. Many thanks in advance :)
I would check if you are actually paying for the electricity in your compartment. I would be surprised if the socket in the basement is connected to the same circuit as the one in your flat. After all, it would be very costly to integrate each cellar compartment into the electricity circuit of the flat belonging to it.
Plug the Devolo directly into the socket and then into the power strip, so it should work if the socket is on the same phase as in the living room.
