Question about FRITZ! Box 5590 Fiber
According to my research, you cannot buy the Fritz!box 5590 from iWay. Does anyone have any experience with iWay support regarding the commissioning of the box mentioned?
At least in the Zurich city network and with AON, no support is necessary.
Use the (supplied) PON module for this.
Wait a few minutes after plugging it in, then make the setting in the menu at http://fritz.box/ (if not automatically):
Internet > Access data > [Internet access] > Provider: iWay Fiber; Access type: iWay Fiber.
Pay attention to this:
Internet > Access data > [Provider services]: [x] Allow automatic setup by the Internet provider.

As iWay has the smaller 5530 on sale, iWay support can also adjust configurations via remote management if required (provided TR-069 has not been deactivated). This can be very practical for support cases when it is necessary.
