According to Zyxel, the Zyxel WX3100-T0 is also possible as a mesh extender. Can anyone confirm this?

I have had the router in mesh operation with a WX3100-T0 for a few days.

It works wonderfully, but it requires a firmware upgrade to version 5.17(ABPC.1)C0. Then you can switch on the MESH mode in the network settings of the router. In previous versions of the firmware, this function was bugged (see firmware changelog).
Setting up the mesh network worked with the Zyxel MPro Mesh App. The "automatic" setup as described in the Quickstart Guide of the WX3100-T0 did not work for me.

It took me a few hours and a lot of nerves, but you can make it work :)

Firmware is available here: https://support.zyxel.eu/hc...

We can't really confirm that yet. However, I have received feedback from a customer that it seems to work without problems.

The product description of both devices at least states that they both support the "EasyMesh" standard - that sounds good.
