I charged this camera exactly once on the micro USB port for 2 hours when it arrived new. Since then it has been permanently installed in the car and always gets power when the ignition is switched on. I transfer films to my mobile phone via WiFi or from the microSD card to my computer, and I don't miss a USB C port at all. For a dashcam, other criteria such as image quality and stabilisation, parking mode, SOS mode, easy expandability, mobile phone and desktop app or manufacturer's service are much more decisive.
