As far as I have seen, it should be able to cool an AMD Ryzen 7 7800x3d (TDP). Since I don't know much about buying fans, I'm wondering if the cooling performance is sufficient for gaming or if there are better options? If so, which ones?

It should be sufficient.
But if you want to get the most performance out of it then I recommend the be quiet dark rock 4 pro
if you want something that looks better than the Deepcool AK620 Digital
Both around 80-90€
If you want something cheaper then
Deepcool AK500S Digital for 50€ on Alternate
To compare the best prices use Idealo I can only recommend it to you
