Question about ASUS Rog Strix X570-F Gaming
Boot problems new BIOS 1407 Dear Community, since the update to the new BIOS 1407 from April of this year, I have been having boot problems in parts. The computer no longer boots up, the data from the hard disk is not loaded. If I then reset the computer, it works. When the computer is running, it is stable and without restrictions. Well, it's me again. I have now been able to find and isolate the error. Because I did several things at once, a lot of things got mixed up and I also assumed a different starting situation in the description. I would like to apologise for this.
In addition to updating the BIOS, I also replaced the graphics card at the same time. From a Vega 64 to a 2070S. When booting up, the BIOS screen is not shown. Since I had booted and shut down the computer several times, I had a false impression.
It's because the graphics card doesn't get on so well with the mainboard. Every now and then the screen freezes and I get the nvlddmkm incident in the system messages. So it's not the mainboard. It works perfectly. I'll have to think about what solution I want to find for this in the future.

To understand the whole thing correctly:
The PC posts, i.e. the boot screen appears, but the hard disk for Linux/Windows is not recognised?
Where and how is the hard disk connected?
If this is the case, I would go into the BIOS and see if the boot drives are recognised and listed in the correct order.
Then there are the questions:
Why did you carry out a BIOS update? All manufacturers actually advise against updating, as long as everything works as desired.
I understand the urge to keep everything up to date (I have done this myself), but the BIOS is a pretty critical component.
And have you already tried to flash the BIOS a second time or to install an older version?

Do you have the Ram timings set to autto? It may be that not always stable runs then. If you have Ran with an XMP profile, you can easily load the XMP profile. And otherwise enter the timings on the Ran Manuel. Also space span.
