Can anyone confirm that the 12TB is significantly quieter than the 10TB? The data sheet only says 20 db for the 12TB and 34 db for the 10TB in idle mode, which would be a huge difference and makes me clearly favour the larger one. How does it behave under load?

Yes, I can confirm that. Although I have not measured the discs, they are pleasantly quiet.
