Can anyone tell me what the speech intelligibility is like with the Fives when connected to the tv? I want to upgrade the tv sound but don't want to get a soundbar because we often hear that the speech intelligibility is very poor. I've been looking for a great sound upgrade for a while now.

I use the Fives as a "soundbar" and am very satisfied. If you want a direct, enhanced TV sound, the Fives are perfect. The sound is powerful, low tones really let it rip. At the same time, speech intelligibility is maintained. It should be noted that the Fives do not support 5.1 sound, so you have to regularly switch the sound to standard on Netflix (because otherwise you won't hear anything), but that's no big deal. The firmware update should definitely be carried out (via the Klipsch app), the sound is then even better than the one from the factory. Stands are also recommended. The Klipsch ones are now available here (I have the Bowers Wilkins ones). The speakers are a very good all-round package that also offers good hi-fi sound. But I think they're best suited as TV speakers. The option of an additional subwoofer gives you even more room for sound ...

I have the speakers connected to my computer and I am satisfied. The sound of the Five is basically relatively bass-heavy and "rocky" - you have to like that. It also comes through with voice output - but it doesn't bother me. I find the speakers the perfect all-rounder.
