You could say Tolino is a competitor of Microsoft Kindle. If you get your books from Amazon (exclusively), then a Kindle device is a good choice, not a Tolino. Tolino, on the other hand, also offers sourcing from different stores, for example if you want to support the bookshop in your region ;-)

Yes, you can. However, it requires some know-how. However, I now do this routinely. The Amazon eBook (mobi /azw / azw3) is copied to the PC and converted to ePub format with Calibre (freeware). To remove the DRM copy protection, you may have to install a Calibre plug-in for which a fee is charged. However, I remove the copy protection beforehand with a separate free software. A Google search will help.
