Question about Sonos Connect
Can I connect a CD player via an optical cable (if so - which one is recommended), as I need the analogue inputs for the record player?

Sonos is an old system. Today there are much better ones that can do much more. If your CD has an optical connection, then you can do it.
The best thing is not to buy Sonos at all. Too many problems.
