You cannot connect the Technics turntable directly to the Edifier R1280DB speakers without using an amplifier. The Edifier R1280DB speakers require an audio signal amplifier as they do not have the phono pre-amplification necessary to amplify the weak signal from a turntable.

You would need to use either a separate phono preamplifier or an amplifier with integrated phono preamplification to pass the signal from the turntable to the speakers.
