This does not need to be paired with the TV, but the TV serves as the source, e.g. via the optical connection. Finally, the BT headphones are paired.
The receiver can be connected to the TV either via an analogue cable or via the optical connection. If the TV does not have a headphone connection, there is still the option of a cinch output. I'm not sure whether a cinch jack adapter is included with the accessories. If so, such adapters are readily available.
If the TV has an optical output, the sound can also be transmitted via this.
The USB connection is only required to power the receiver. If the TV does not actually have a USB port, a normal mobile phone charger can also be used in principle.
PS: According to the instructions, the adapter is included, but it is not listed at Digitec
