Can I put my macro lens from my old Sony Alpha A57 on the A7? Or do I need an adapter here. If so, what kind?

The Sony A7 III has an E bayonet (E-mount) for the lenses.
The Sony A57 has an A bayonet (A-mount) for the lenses.
This means that the old lens will not fit on the A7 III, an adapter is necessary. In addition, the lens should also be suitable for full format. There are two adapters:

Sony LA-EA3
Sony LA-EA3

or

Sony LA-EA4
Sony LA-EA4

If your lens has a built-in motor, the cheaper adapter would be enough. But do the maths to see if it would be an alternative to sell the old lens for a new one and not need the adapter.
